Approximately 30 ALD (After [[The Last Dawn]]) our first records of civilization begin to emerge. Not much was written before this period though we aren't fully sure why [^1]. However, at the base of [[Velgrath]] within [[Gravesump]] lie the first writings we believe to have emerged. They speak of the passage of [[The First Law]]. An agreement between [[Saleah]][^2] and [[Velgrath]]. Unfortunately most of what was originally written is lost to time, and [[The First Law]] only lives on through the memory of the ancient families who reside in the [[Public/Wikipedia/The Godless Deep/Velgrath/Upperclave/Upperclave]]'s who have then redocumented the first law, as well as the other laws on the walls of the [[Guildvault]]. [^1]: Editors note: My personal belief is that the surface world(if such a thing existed) had technologies vastly different from what exists today, and our ancestors had a hard time discovering new ways to write.
