Luckily, after the fall of Saleah, there were few great events to speak of for the next almost 400 years.
Unfortunately, this event would compound many great events within one.
Approximately 423 [[The Last Dawn|ALD]] the main steam engine providing power to the city went into failure after a worker^[The name of this worker is either unknown or purposefully redacted] negligently closed the coolant gate to the core, leading to a massive fire and superheated steam spreading throughout the levels that spread across the three tiers.
There were no concrete tallies of lives lost in the fire, but experts guess close to 76,000 were lost to the heat- with about 3/4 of those being in the middle tier where they are mostly walled in, and the superheated air accumulated boiling many from the inside out. Removed by many years from that day, it still weight heavily on the hearts of our people.
